Lunch Recipe: Bacon And Jalapeno Grilled Cheese

Did you know that April is National Grilled Cheese Month? Everyone loves the classic grill cheese and tomato soup. What I have found is that people in Texas are doing it bigger and spicier than most. The Wisconsin Milk board is even having a 2013 Recipe Showdown.

The weekend chef offers up a mixture of gooey cheese, bacon, and spicy jalapenos to kick off your tastebuds. You can find a photo slideshow of the recipe at The weekend chef!

What will you need to make Texas grilled cheese with bacon and jalapenos? Each sandwich is a mixture of:
1 cup shredded soft cheese
1/4 stick butter
2 slices Texas toast
1 1/2 slices bacon
1/2 jalapeno, thinly sliced

If your looking for more of a smokey flavor from the jalapenos then try grilling them or saute them before you add them to the recipe.
